Beyond Chigwell
The vast majority of Chigwell leavers go on to Russell Group universities, or the equivalent, mainly in the UK but with some gaining places at prestigious universities overseas.
In addition, a small but growing number of pupils take up degree-level apprenticeships.
In 2024, the most popular universities for our leavers were UCL, Durham, and Queen Mary. Amongst the wide range of other destinations were Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, LSE, KCL, Loughborough, Leeds, Warwick, Manchester, Nottingham, Edinburgh and many more.
European Universities are increasingly popular with some of our pupils with a recent leaver going to study at Sciences Po in Paris, which is current French President Emmanuel Macron's former University.
These leavers, as always, chose a wide variety of degree courses and we equip Sixth Formers to select the best courses and institutions to meet their individual interests and aspirations.
