Chigwell pupils are today celebrating a brilliant set of GCSE results

Chigwell pupils are today celebrating a brilliant set of GCSE results. Highlights of these results include the following:

  • 50% of all grades awarded were 9s and 8s
  • 72% of all results achieved were awarded grades 9, 8 and 7
  • 27% of all awarded grades were 9s

Two of our pupils achieved straight 9 grades in all subjects and ten pupils scored straight 9 and 8 grades. These are remarkable achievements and are a testament to both the talent of the pupils and the hard work that they have put in over the course of the previous two years.

The Head, Damian King commented: ‘We are delighted with this year’s GCSE results. We are very proud of our pupils who have worked with commitment and dedication over the last two years. However, amongst these exceptional grades, there are also stories of pupils who have overcome their own challenges to achieve their personal goals. These results indicate that the year group was academically ambitious, they took their learning seriously and they were well supported by some excellent teaching.”
