Chigwell hosts Music Festival

On Saturday 7^th October we welcomed over 120 pupils to our Four Schools’ Music Festival. KS2 musicians and singers from Woodford Green Prep, St Aubyn’s, and Avon House joined our own pupils for a fabulous day of music-making and fun. Pupils were given the opportunity to sing in a large choir, experience a trombone masterclass, and for those who play an instrument, take part in an orchestra. In just a few hours the orchestra and choir took to the stage for a packed final concert in New Hall. The orchestra produced a colourful rendition of Samba Groove and the Nutcracker, and the choir gave a touching performance of Pasek and Paul’s ‘You Will Be Found’. It was a musical triumph and a wonderful occasion for all and our thanks to all who came and made the day such a success.
