Boys’ Football in 2020

Despite the challenging circumstances of 2020, Boys' Football at Chigwell achieved a great deal. While we were not able to play fixtures last term, on average two hundred boys in various groups participated in training. A massive thank you to all staff that have been involved this year including grounds and support staff.

Here are the stats:

• We have had 20 staff involved in providing the games programme this year, including14 academic staff.
• We have provided 12 weeks of full games and extra-curricular provision.
• There have been 9 staff who have continuously deliver extra-curricular to on average per week, 200 boys, 15 different groups (extended due to year group and covid restrictions), utilising 3 academic staff.
• This is a total of 23 hours of extra-curricular over the 12 weeks.

We also send our congratulations to George Evans who has signed a two year deal at Millwall FC which is a fantastic achievement. He is the first boy to reach this level in football since Tommy Redhead and Jordan Spence. We will follow his progress with great interest.
