Mr Maingot, Miss Foster and the MVITH A Level Drama class enjoyed a virtual trip to the theatre on Thursday 2nd April, taking full advantage of the Royal National Theatre’s live streaming of their production of “One Man, Two Guvnor’s” starring the celebrated James Corden. Adapted by Richard Bean from the 18th century Commedia Dell’Arte classic, “A Servant to Two Masters” by Goldini, this show was a slap stick comedy feast with wonderfully funny scenes, such as the moment when Henshaw (James Corden) beats himself up, and the famous dinner scene where a cast of zany waiters attempt to serve two dinners at the same time.

Staff and students met up for a virtual pre-theatre dinner and enjoyed “sharing” mushroom stroganoff, speciality sausages, chocolate and cheese cake! Post show critiques of the performance voiced by all before signing off for bedtime. This was the perfect way to keep our spirits up in these hard times and at no extra cost! A good time was had by all. Many thanks to the Royal National Theatre for this initiative.
