In a virtual ‘Meet the Future’ session, 23 of our students from not just the UK but also Poland, Ukraine and Hong Kong joined us to hear from former student, Charlotte. Currently at Exeter University, Charlotte held a presentation about her own journey to starting undergraduate medicine; full of tips and suggestions for current students keen to follow in her footsteps. Her top tips included:
- Use your Year 12 well to prepare for entry tests – you don’t have time in Year 13
- Ask former students for advice (including Charlotte herself!)
- Ask teachers for interview practice
- Don’t be afraid to approach local surgeries, etc. to ask about work experience.
A recording of her presentation is available to current students on Microsoft Stream – please contact Mr Coppell for the link.
