Old Chigwellians

Connections with the School continue through our strong Alumni.

Friendships that last a lifetime

We boast an ever expanding Alumni, scattered worldwide, keeping Old Chigwellians (OCs) in touch with one another to support the School as a united network.

The Old Chigwellians' Association

The School and all Old Chigwellians are represented by the Old Chigwellians' Association (OCA) who work in partnership to organise social, cultural and sporting events throughout the year.

OC Sport

OCs have sporting sections made up of football, golf, hockey and tennis. OC football has a strong reputation and a record of success as both Arthur Dunn League Champions and Cup Winners. They also have strong Vets teams who play in the Green King Essex Vets League and several Cup competitions.

Social Events

The OC Clubhouse in Roding Lane, Chigwell provides a social gathering place for all OCs, particularly the sporting sections, as well as a venue for the popular monthly ‘Wednesday Lunch Club’ meals, to which all OCs and partners are welcome.

Sharing expertise

The OC Alumni are integral to supporting the School with career talks, professional days and sharing of expertise and time, particularly as part of the popular ‘Meet the Future’ sessions held at the School.

We are driving the OC agenda through a number of new initiatives to ensure we keep the Old Chigwellian network vibrant and meaningful for generations to come.

Getting involved

OCA President, Aegean Simpson - a former pupil of the School and an ambassador for Old Chigwellians, encourages OCs of all genders and ages to further build their involvement with the School and their network, by getting actively involved with the OCA to facilitate professional opportunities and build a lasting network of connections.

Keeping in touch

OCs are kept informed of the School's development plans and OC news via the various social media communication channels, as well as receiving a copy of 'The Mitre’ magazine, which is posted out to OCs registered on the database annually.

OCs can update their contact details by contacting Mrs Gill Punt, Development Manager.
