Year Five Embark on an Unforgettable Adventure at Hilltop Activity Centre
Following the Easter break, our Year Five pupils embarked on their annual residential trip to the Hilltop Activity Centre in Norfolk. This exciting three-day adventure is a much-anticipated activity of the school year, designed to nurture independence, strengthen teamwork, and bring classroom learning to life.
The visit plays a vital role in supporting the children’s geography curriculum, particularly their studies on coastal erosion. Exploring the Norfolk coastline allowed pupils to observe and investigate this natural process first hand, deepening their understanding through real-world experience.
Beyond the academic enrichment, the trip is also about personal growth. Hilltop’s motto, “Challenge by Choice,” was embraced wholeheartedly by our students. From high ropes to team challenges, every child was encouraged to step outside their comfort zone - and they did so with courage, enthusiasm, and resilience.
We are incredibly proud of how every child rose to the occasion, demonstrating not only bravery but also kindness, cooperation, and a willingness to support one another. It was a truly memorable experience that will stay with them for years to come.
