We are incredibly proud of five of our Year 12 students - Louis, Jeremy, Gobind, Alex, and Sam, who recently took part in the prestigious Industrial Cadets Celebration Event held at Cambridge University.
As part of their involvement in the Industrial Cadets programme, the team designed and built an impressive semi-autonomous rover intended for use in industrial environments. Their innovative project demonstrated not only technical skill but also creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving—key qualities for future engineers.
During the event, the students had the opportunity to present their work to a panel of industry professionals, gaining valuable feedback and insight into real-world engineering challenges. They also took part in a careers session with current engineering students and professionals, offering a glimpse into the diverse pathways available in the field.
The day concluded with a guided tour of the Engineering Department at Cambridge University, providing inspiration and a deeper understanding of what a future in engineering could look like.
This experience was a fantastic opportunity for our students to showcase their talents, explore future career options, and represent our school with pride. Congratulations to the team on their outstanding achievement!
