Local property consultant, Phillip Leigh, and Head of Sixth Form, Simon Coppell, organised a set of talks by a series of speakers who have enjoyed considerable success in their respective professional fields.

They kindly volunteered to share their experience and top tips for professional success with our students. “What so impressed me about all our speakers,” Mr Coppell commented, “is how they stressed the importance of good values: hard work, respect for yourself and others and personal integrity.” These ‘Stardust’ talks were so named by Mr Leigh, who believes that behind every successful career is ‘a little bit of sparkle’ that goes beyond academic grades. The talks have been popular with Sixth Form students who are interested in expanded their grasp of what it takes to succeed in the real world. Speakers have included Old Chigwellian, Joshua Tobias - one of Lord Sugar’s accountants; Andrew Klein, CEO of Rican Securities; and Ben Spencer, co-founder and director of London property development company, GS8. Mr Leigh himself brings with him 40+ years of business experience. We are so grateful to our speakers for giving our students that extra bit of ‘stardust.’
