New Senior Deputy Head Pre Prep

Sam Pittaway, originally from South Africa, pursued her Bachelor of Education degree at Stellenbosch University, South Africa, which provided her with a solid academic background in education. Her commitment to her profession led her to further her qualifications with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Cambridge.

With two decades of teaching experience, she began her career in Walthamstow, East London, and developed a passion for teaching children aged 4-7, particularly in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Sam is a qualified SENCO, bringing eight years of experience in supporting students with special educational needs in mainstream schools.

Currently, in her fifth year at Chigwell School, Sam is thrilled to be working with the families of Pre Prep pupils. Her extensive experience, academic qualifications, and passion for early childhood education make her a valuable asset to the school community. With a commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering strong connections with families, Sam continues to make a significant impact on the lives of her students.
