A memorable day of sporting success saw both Prep and Senior School teams crowned Essex Schools Champions on Wednesday at Aveley FC.

The U11 and U19 boys’ teams delivered outstanding performances to secure their titles in dramatic fashion. The U11 side staged an impressive comeback in their final against Shenfield St Mary, overturning a 2–0 deficit to claim a thrilling 3–2 victory, with the decisive goal arriving in the final minute.

The U19 final proved equally gripping. Facing Chingford Foundation, the match remained goalless at full time before being decided by penalties. Showing composure under pressure, the team triumphed 4–3 in the shootout to seal the championship.

The victories mark a fitting conclusion to the season, particularly for the departing Year 13 pupils, who end their school football careers on a high.

We give thanks to Head of Football Mr Bruce and colleagues for their dedication and work in guiding both teams to success.
