Junior School pupil-led initiative raises nearly £700 for 3Food4U.

3Food4U are a local community hub which offer free food, home essentials, clothes, toys and more to anyone that needs it, without assessment or referral. They are very conscious that it can be embarrassing and awkward asking for support for the most basic essentials, food and clothes, especially when you have been self sufficient all your life. That is why their ethos is no assessment or referral and no questions asked. They believe that if you are brave enough to ask for help, they give it - treating and supporting people humanely with dignity and respect.

As a pupil-led initiative, a group of Junior School praefects (who are called charity directors), decided that 3Food4U would be a very worthy cause, particularly in the current climate, when a lot of people are finding things financially challenging. We worked together to plan and organise 'Christmas Jumper Day 2020' - creating posters, raising awareness through assemblies and collecting all the donations on the day.

In total, almost £700 has been raised and the Senior school are due to take part too this Friday. Thank you to all involved.

Thank you very much for the wonderful donations and fundraising. They will make a huge difference and be a lifeline for so many families during these difficult times. Please pass on my sincere thanks to all the staff and students involved.
