This November will see the Senior School Production ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’, by Tennessee Williams. Pupils from Year 11, 12 and 13 will invite the audience to take a Streetcar to the hustle and bustle of New Orleans like you have never seen it before.

The Senior School Production is our premier annual slot for challenging Drama with our most advanced pupils, creating work that is ahead of the curve. Students also participate in backstage and technical capacities.

For those unfamiliar, the plot of this beloved play concerns fading Southern belle Blanche DuBois who moves into her sister Stella’s New Orleans apartment under mysterious circumstances. Having lost their family home, Blanche struggles to live with Stella’s brutish and unrefined husband Stanley. Suspecting that Blanche is not the lady she presents herself as, Stanley sets out to destroy her….

The play has been creatively adapted and reimagined to bring the show to life for a modern audience, and will feature a life-like set of Stella and Stanley’s apartment built by our Theatre Manager. Costumes will be provided by the National Theatre Costume Hire.

Tickets are now available on Wisepay for the 27th, 28th and 29th of November, each at 7pm.
