Chigwell School celebrates GCSE success

Our Year 11 pupils joined thousands across the UK in collecting their GCSE results today, and they have done particularly well.

This year's results reflect outstanding achievement across the cohort, with 29% of all grades awarded at grade 9. In addition, 34% of pupils achieved at least eight grade 8s or more, demonstrating exceptional academic performance.

Our Head, Damian King, commented:

“We are delighted with this year's GCSE results but today is about far more than the headline statistics. It is about recognising the achievements of individual young people who have worked hard, overcome challenges and realised their potential. I am enormously proud of this year group for the way they have approached their studies and for the contribution they have made to school life beyond the classroom. These results are richly deserved and reflect the dedication of our pupils, the commitment of our staff and the support of families throughout their educational journey.”
