The Michaelmas Term Junior School Concert was one of the strongest yet, featuring music from eleven of the larger ensembles. Music ranged from a wonderful display of skill and technique in Khachaturian’s Sabre Dance from the Junior Percussion Ensemble; Haydn’s Finale from The Bird Quartet by the String Septet; Sticks and Tricks from the Junior Drumline; Abraham’s Woza Wena from the Modern Music Ensemble. In addition, we had excellent and vibrant performances from the Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs under the direction of Mr Joel Goodman and Ms Susie Proctor. A medley of show stoppers from the Lion King from the enormous Intermediate Orchestra finished off what was a spectacular evening of music from the younger pupils in the School.  The Director of Music, Mr Howard Ebden, commented on how proud he was to be making such brilliant music with such young and happy minds and went on to congratulate the team spirit which this Music Department engenders among pupils and staff.

We look forward to bringing many of these musicians together at the Cadogan Hall on Saturday 18 January 2020 for the ‘Celebration of Choral Music’.
