Chigwell School aims to provide appropriate support for all pupils and for some this involves the work of the Learning Support department. Some children arrive at Chigwell with difficulties that have already been diagnosed, whilst others are identified through our own screening processes. The needs of those pupils identified as having SEND (Special Needs or Disability) are met in the first instance by Quality First Teaching within the classroom, as directed by the new Code of Practice. Further support is provided on an individual basis as required/necessary.
