One of the high spots of the Senior School year is the annual House Music competition.  The event is designed to engender a really positive house spirit with all members of each of the four senior houses, Years 9 to 13, rehearsing and performing together.  The competition provides an enjoyable evening of musical entertainment.  Each of the four houses perform three items together and all the arrangements are devised by the pupils themselves.  The first item is for small groups and the second is for ensembles.  Finally, in item 3, all members of each house danced and sang their chosen house song.  Once again New Hall was packed with parents and returning Old Chigwellians, such is the popularity of the event.  The entire evening showcased a good deal of musicianship and a lot of hard work from the Year 13 students preparing their Houses.  Well done to all those involved.
