Chigwell School's leafy and spacious site is maintained throughout the year with care by our dedicated Grounds and Maintenance Team.
Uniquely positioned, our school benefits from the leafy surroundings of Epping Forest while being on the Central Line Tube for easy access to the City of London in around 20/25 minutes. An enchanting vista through the treeline offers stunning views of the City of London skyline - providing a glimpse into the window of opportunities for our students.

Caring for Our Environment
Situated on protected Green Belt land, we ensure that restoration and new developments to the School are sympathetic to our grounds and surroundings.
One of our values, 'A Community of Kindness', extends to our environment and how we care for the world around us.
We role model environmentally friendly behaviours and our pupil-led Eco Committee are a key part of driving sustainable change across the School.
- Outdoor learning: The Glen is the perfect place for our younger years to take part in Forest School Association activities
- Sports facilities: including the New Sport & Wellness Centre, AstroTurf, 3G pitch, and numerous football and cricket pitches, netball and tennis courts enable us to host many games throughout the season
- Relaxation between studies: Many students, our boarders, in particular, use the grounds for exercise and relaxation between studying and at weekends
- Alumni facilities: Old Chigwellians benefit from exclusive grounds including tennis courts, a football pitch and a clubhouse
