A sure start.... a consistent approach on one campus
Pupils enter the Junior School as day pupils either from primary or from preparatory schools when they are 7+, 8+ or 11+.
Our main aim is to provide a consistent approach to education throughout your child’s school career. Consequently, both our academic and pastoral structures are designed to develop the 7year old right through to the end of the teenage years.
The Headmistress, the Deputy Head of the Junior School and the Senior Tutors are responsible for the pastoral care of Junior School Pupils and they are available for consultation by parents or pupils at almost any time. The Form Tutor carefully monitors each pupil's academic progress and general well being and is the principal point of contact if parents wish to discuss any aspect of their children’s progress.

Whilst in many respects the Junior School operates separately from the Senior School, both share the same educational philosophy, as well as many facilities and teaching staff. In addition, friendships and joint activities link both Juniors and Seniors, giving our pupils a sense of continuity as they progress through the School. Everyone has access to all the School's extensive facilities, particularly in the areas of art, music, drama, physical education, games and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). We teach French from the age of seven and introduce all pupils to other languages during their School career.
