Welcome to The Friends of Chigwell School homepage.
Friends of Chigwell (FoC) is the school’s Parents’ and Teachers’ Association and a well-established part of school life. The objective of the FoC is to enhance the already outstanding facilities and community within which our children study towards academic success and develop as individuals.
The FoC has a dual role. Firstly it raises funds, but secondly, and of equal importance, it strives to bring the community of parents, pupils and teachers together in a relaxed atmosphere, be it at a quiz night, theatre trip or tea and cake at Sports Day. The facilities, community and social life all enrich our children’s school experience and help them get the most out of their time at Chigwell School.
The FoC organises various events throughout the year – typically two a term – to raise funds. These are then spent on ‘extras’ the School could not necessarily afford but that enhance school life. Events range from kids only through to family evenings.
Friends of Chigwell is made up of parents and the headmasters and we meet once a month to discuss future and past events and to agree support for the projects the School require FoC sponsorship. Typically different committee members take the lead in running different events so that everyone has a chance to participate and the work load does not fall too heavily on any one member.
We are always delighted to welcome new members to the committee or those who are just happy to help with individual events. Please do get in touch if you would like to become involved.
