A place in the team

Sport plays an important part in the life of the School. We have excellent facilities, including 50 acres of expertly maintained playing fields, a new astro turf facility, a swimming pool, 6 netball/tennis courts, an indoor sports hall incorporating a multi-purpose area and separate rooms for weight-training and cardio-vascular exercises, a separate gymnasium, 2 hockey pitches, indoor and outdoor cricket nets and 8 football pitches.

In winter term, the main sports are soccer, hockey and netball, while in the summer we concentrate on cricket, athletics, swimming, rounders and tennis. Chigwell enjoys a national reputation in soccer, cricket and girls hockey, and there is a comprehensive and challenging inter-school fixture list at all levels for all major games.
