The School has a thriving Scout Troop for boys and girls aged 10.5-14, with currently over 35 members. We also have an Explorer Scout Unit of about 30 members for young men and women aged 14-18. Both meet weekly in term-time, the Scouts after school on Thursdays and the Explorers Wednesday evenings. Both also meet Wednesday lunchtimes to monitor progress towards the Awards. At Easter the Explorers visit the Scottish Highlands, and every summer all Chigwellian Scouts go on Summer Camp, which in the last few years has seen us in Switzerland, Ireland, the Peak District, the Isle of Man and Cornwall.
