teaching and research quality.
You
can do this, using the sites below, for specific courses and departments
as well as gauging the overall rating for an institution as a
whole.
Bear in mind that
smaller departments will be less likely to produce a lot of research,
whereas the newer universities may not be rated highly for 'traditional'
degree subjects but be the field leaders for newer degrees - e.g.
car design courses at Coventry University are thought of very
highly.
