What is Explorer Scouting?
|
| Explorers are Scouts between the ages of 14-18. (At Chigwell School you normally transfer from Scouts as you start the LV; at 18 you can choose to join the Scout Network.) Explorer Scouts work towards three main awards: the Chief Scout's Platinum Award, the Chief Scout's Diamond Award, and the highest achievement in Scouting, the Queen's Scout Award. For more information check Scoutbase's Explorer Scouts section, and this new site for Explorers. |
Chigwell's Explorer Scouts have visited Lundy island and the Scottish Highlands in recent years. For Easter 2008 we hope to return to Scotland.
